I have had the fortune to teach painting again after many years of inactivity. I say fortune because it gives me the chance to go into the streets and parks of Rome and re-discover the beauty of this city.<\/p>\n

We also went outside of the city to nearby Tivoli to visit the Villa D\u2019Este. I had been there years before but I forgot how dramatic and lush the gardens are. And those wonderful fountains. Truly a wonderful day immersed in green.<\/p>\n

These watercolours are purposely smaller. I\u2019m trying to paint faster to be able to get down just the essentials of the light. The exercise has been useful.
