Think in Painting (part 2)

My body is together in the world. It is both visible and mobile. What is outside is not cut off but prolonged by itself in a physical way. Both sensed and sensing, my body is undivided. Interiority is equal to the material world; not coming first or resulting from it. The eye and the mind produce this reality, this Being.

My eyes move and are attracted by things in the world. My eyes create a ‘map’ of what is visible. While painting, through moving and constantly making me aware that I am changing place, my eyes also create a ‘map’ of what I am able to paint because I can project myself into this world. So my Being, similar to the painting itself, is composed of both what is visible and what ‘I can’. This means that I not only experience a sensorial representation of the world but I am also aware of the immanence of an image that is within me. This is what painting is about.[whohit]-Think in Painting_II_EN-[/whohit]
